The Re-membering Collective is an embodied wellbeing practice rooted in India and working globally. It came to Umanshi for wellness website design that could hold its depth without sliding into clichés. Its work spans movement, breath, nervous system support and long-term 1:1 journeys, including prenatal and perinatal care, embodiment mentorship and in-person breathwork.
The Collective needed a website that did not look or sound like a typical wellness brand. It had to express a thoughtful, unhurried practice to people tired of being “fixed”, and guide them towards inquiry-led 1:1 work without hype, promises or pressure.
We designed the site from how it should feel rather than how it should look. The brief came down to one test: within a few seconds of arriving, a visitor’s breathing should slow. Every decision followed from that, from generous white space and a muted, paper-like palette to reading-sized typography and quiet interactions.
The visual language draws on aged paper, Indian postal marks, museum placards and field-journal notes, so the site feels collected rather than assembled. Pages such as Deep Personal Work guide visitors through layered offerings at an unhurried pace and end with a gentle invitation to inquire instead of a booking button.
A website built to slow visitors down, not sell to them.
Postal marks, field notes and aged paper, collected rather than assembled.
Pages that guide people towards 1:1 work at their own pace.
Translated an interdisciplinary practice into a distinct presence that steps away from wellness clichés: no promises, no hype, no optimisation language, only recognition and invitation.
Designed a minimal, editorial UI/UX with generous white space, asymmetric layouts and restrained interactions, so every section gives more space than it takes.
Structured layered offerings from an overview page down to individual pathways, so visitors find the right doorway without feeling overwhelmed.
Restraint. Much wellness website design leans on soft stock imagery and promises. The Re-membering Collective's site uses generous white space, an archival visual language and quiet interactions, so visitors slow down instead of being sold to.
It depends on the work. Because the Collective's programmes are long-term and relationship-based, the site guides people to begin with an inquiry, which protects fit and sets expectations before anyone commits.
With an overview page that works as a doorway. Deep Personal Work introduces three pathways, each complete in itself, so visitors can find the right one without feeling overwhelmed.
Yes. Umanshi offers wellness website design and development for practitioners, studios and collectives, built around the tone of the practice rather than a template.
Yes. Restraint does not mean removing the next step. Each page on the Collective's site ends with a clear, unhurried invitation, so visitors who feel ready know exactly how to begin.
