Legrand is a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructure. Its Data Center Solutions business supplies the physical infrastructure behind India’s data centres, including racks, power distribution, cooling, containment, structured cabling, cable management and monitoring for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise and edge facilities.
Legrand Data Center Solutions engaged Umanshi for data center whitepaper design, customer case studies and newsletters. The flagship piece is a nine-page whitepaper on planning, deploying and scaling edge infrastructure in India. Each case study turns a complex project into a two-page story covering the challenge, an integrated solution diagram, results and a leadership perspective.
Whitepapers and case studies cover power, cooling, connectivity and monitoring in real engineering detail. The design had to make that depth readable for busy decision makers without diluting the substance.
Older documents did not share a single visual language. Every new case study, newsletter and whitepaper needed to look like part of one evolved Legrand Data Center Solutions family.
For a technical audience, an icon or image showing the wrong product undermines credibility. Every diagram, icon and product visual had to reflect the actual infrastructure being discussed.
We built a consistent system across every document: off-white backgrounds, bold condensed headings, charcoal typography, precise Legrand-red accents, thin technical linework and realistic infrastructure photography.
Every piece was designed around how technical readers scan. Case studies lead with a stats panel of key figures, followed by a challenge grid and one integrated solution diagram. The whitepaper was expanded to nine pages so each page has one focus, with visuals only where they explain something.
Each diagram shows the infrastructure working as one system, from racks and intelligent PDUs to containment, cable management and environmental monitoring, with every icon matched to the right layer so the visuals hold up with engineers as well as buyers.
One recognisable design family across case studies, newsletters and whitepapers.
Complex engineering content structured for faster, easier reading.
Technically accurate visuals that hold up with expert audiences.
Readability without dilution. Good data center whitepaper design gives each page one focus, uses infographics only where they explain something and keeps every diagram technically accurate, because engineers notice when a visual shows the wrong product.
As long as the argument needs and no longer. Legrand's edge infrastructure whitepaper runs to nine pages so each section, from infrastructure layers to deployment models, has room to breathe.
Context, a clear challenge, the integrated solution, measurable results and a human perspective. Legrand's case studies open with a stats panel so readers see the scale of the project in seconds.
Yes. Umanshi provides data center whitepaper design, case study design, newsletters and other B2B collateral, all built on one consistent editorial system.
Usually both. Most technical whitepapers are read as PDFs on screen and sometimes printed for meetings, so layouts need comfortable reading sizes, clear hierarchy and colours that hold up in either format.
