FarmDidi, founded in 2018, is a Delhi-based D2C food brand rooted in traditional Indian kitchen wisdom, later gaining national recognition after securing funding on Shark Tank India.
ROAS dropped with every in-house scaling attempt, stalling monthly sales at ₹3-4L. Farmdidi needed an expert team for a profitable, scalable ad system.
We were onboarded to scale FarmDidi’s performance marketing end-to-end—from campaign thinking to reporting. We built a scalable, multi-platform performance engine. We controlled costs using AI-generated creatives while shooting high-conversion videos in-house (food-making, health benefits). Key insight: regional language & character ads (Gujarati, Punjabi) significantly outperformed. We implemented strategic retargeting and moment marketing campaigns (e.g., “Achaar Gifting” for Diwali/Rakhi). Beyond just ads, we created all website assets (banners, testimonials). This full-funnel approach, managing everything from concept to ROI, skyrocketed consistent monthly sales to ₹12-15L and built the robust business case that secured their ₹1 Crore Shark Tank funding.
Most of the third parties are typically very transactional in how they operate. It is always about the scope of work with limited accountability. Being a startup I was looking for someone who can hustle along with us, who are very close to the team and looking for wins like us. With Umanshi, it never felt that there is a different company in another universe, but it always felt that there is my team who is working with our goals. I also want to thank Sonali for her sheer dedication and unmatched ability to get things done. Umanshi, you have an amazing team! Keep up the good work !
We acted as an in-house creative & strategy team, not just an agency. We shot videos, devised barter deals, and built the brand story that led to Shark Tank funding.
Blanket selling of pickles wasn’t working effectively – Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi characters created in-house for better resonance
In-house production, use of AI and barter deals with influencers helped Farmdidi save lacs in marketing budget
50%+ elements/ activities delivered above and beyond the SOW to ensure the success of the brand (in-house shoots to AI generated videos to team dressed up as characters, etc)
